Adventure in Morocco
A different way to experience Morocco.
Discover Morocco by running through some of its most spectacular landscapes. A trip designed to enjoy trail running, local culture, and adventure, combining mountain trails, valleys, gorges, and desert into a unique experience.
This trip is designed for runners of all fitness levels. The routes are adapted to the group with different paces, distances, and route options, allowing each participant to enjoy the experience according to their abilities and goals.

Marrakech
Intense colors, lively alleys, and an energy you feel as soon as you arrive. Marrakech is noise, movement, spices, lights, and contrasts. The perfect starting point before leaving the city behind and beginning to discover the wildest Morocco.

Dadès Valley
Reddish mountains, deep gorges, and roads twisting between rock walls. Small adobe villages cling to the land, almost blending with the landscape. Everything is dry, wild, and vast. A place where every turn changes the scene and reminds you that Morocco is not just seen: it is experienced.

Monkey Fingers
Rock formations that look hand-sculpted, rolling mountains, and a landscape that changes shape with every step. Monkey Fingers is one of those areas that’s hard to believe until you see it: dry, wild, and strange, as if the earth had twisted itself to create an impossible scene in the middle of the Dadès Valley.

Todra Gorges
Stone, height, and silence. The Todra Gorges appear as a huge gap between mountains, with walls that look like they were cut with a knife and an environment so wild it's hard to believe there is a road running through it.

Merzouga
Sand, calm, and open sky. As night falls, the desert transforms into an almost unreal place: tents, fire, stars, and that silence you won’t find anywhere else. A night to disconnect from the world and remember where you are.

Ouarzazate
Dry land, intense light, and landscapes that look like they came straight out of a movie. Ouarzazate opens the door to southern Morocco, among kasbahs, desert, and roads that signal the adventure has just changed pace.

A luxury guide to truly understanding trail running.
During the trip, we will be accompanied by Sylvia Fis, a professional trail runner and sports physiotherapist. Her role will be to provide experience, judgment, and support, helping us enjoy the environment safely and better understand what it means to run in the mountains.

From December 5 to 12
Adventure in Morocco
December 5-12.
This is your roadmap.
Day 1 · Saturday, December 5 - Arrival in Marrakech
Arrival in Marrakech and group meeting to begin the Wabiks Morocco Experience.
It will be a relaxed first day to get to know each other, introduce the trip, review the logistics, and start building the team before diving fully into the adventure.
Day 2 · Sunday, December 6 - From Marrakech to the Dadès Valley
We leave Marrakech behind and head towards the Dadès Valley, crossing the High Atlas.
It will be a day of transfer and adjustment, ideal for changing the city pace for mountain landscapes and preparing body and mind for the first route of the trip.
During the day we will hold the general briefing of the experience, where we will review the logistics, the operation of the routes, the pace, the recommended gear, and answer the group’s questions.
We will also hand out the Wabiks Welcome Pack, so each participant has their kit ready before starting the trail days.
Day 3 · Monday, December 7 - Monkey Fingers
Here the kilometers begin.
Before setting off, we will have a technical briefing to explain the route, the type of terrain, the group's pace, and some basic tips to tackle the route safely and enjoyably.
We start with the Monkey Fingers route, in the Dadès Valley: a route through rock formations, trails, and landscapes very different from the usual.
Approximate route of 8–10 km and about 250 m of positive elevation gain, perfect for getting in touch with Moroccan trail running without making the first day too tough.
After the route, we will eat, shower, and head towards the Todra Gorges.
Day 4 - Tuesday, December 8 - Todra Gorges
Second day of trail during the trip.
As with every day on the route, we will start with a technical briefing to review the course, the terrain, effort management, and the main instructions for the day.
We wake up in one of the most impressive settings of the adventure: the Todra Gorges. The route will take us through an environment of huge walls, narrow paths, and pure rock landscapes.
It will be a very visual day, with different terrain and that touch of adventure that makes every kilometer unforgettable.
At the end, we will eat, shower, and travel to Merzouga, the gateway to Erg Chebbi.
Once there, we will switch transportation to camels (or 4x4) to enter the desert and reach the camp, where we will spend the night in the heart of Erg Chebbi, surrounded by dunes and under a sky that you won’t forget.
Day 5 · Wednesday, December 9 - Route in Erg Chebbi
Third day of trail running and one of the most special of the trip.
Before starting, we will have a technical talk to explain how to tackle the desert terrain: sand, open tracks, pace management, hydration, and effort.
We will wake up in the middle of the desert, after sleeping in the tents of Merzouga, and put on our shoes to cross the Erg Chebbi area on foot, moving through dunes, sand, and open tracks until we reach the hotel at the foot of the dunes.
This will not be just any route. It will be a desert crossing, where pace matters less than the experience: adapting your stride, managing effort, and enjoying terrain unlike anything we usually run on.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we will have time to shower, rest, and enjoy the surroundings. In the afternoon, there will be free time or the option to add optional activities such as quads, buggies, or a 4x4 route.
Day 6 · Thursday, December 10 - From Merzouga to Ouarzazate
There is no route today.
We leave Erg Chebbi behind and begin the transfer to Ouarzazate.
A day to recover your legs, rest during the journey.
We will arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon to settle in and be able to visit the city.
Day 7 · Friday, December 11 - Ouarzazate to Marrakech
We wake up in Ouarzazate.
Then we will move to Marrakech, where we will spend the last night of the trip.
In the afternoon there will be free time, and in the evening we will celebrate the farewell dinner to close the Wabiks Trail Adventure as it deserves.
Day 8 · Saturday, December 12 - Return home
Last day of the trip.
Depending on the flight schedule, there will be some free time before the return.
We say goodbye to Morocco after 8 days and 7 nights of trail, mountains, gorges, desert, and team adventure.
We return home with tired legs, a clear mind, and surely some sand where it shouldn’t be.
Accommodation: during the trip, we will stay in hotels rated 4 stars or higher, selected to ensure comfort, rest, and a good experience at every stage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have any questions?
Who is organizing the trip?
GR11 Viajes is an agency specializing in adventure travel, offroad routes, and road trip experiences. They organize trips to destinations such as Africa and Asia, combining logistics, route experience, and an adventurous spirit to experience the destination in an authentic and unique way.
All of this in collaboration with Wabiks.
Travel cost and payment schedule.
To reserve your spot, a first payment of €500 must be made at the time of registration.
The remaining amount must be paid before October 31, 2026.
Once the reservation is confirmed, we will send all the practical travel information, equipment recommendations, and next steps so you can prepare calmly.
If I can't go, do I get my money back?
Yes, but it will depend on the date the cancellation is communicated:
Until August 31, 2026, inclusive: 100% of the amount paid will be refunded.
From September 1 to October 31, 2026: 50% of the total contracted trip cost will be retained.
From November 1 to November 30, 2026: 75% of the total contracted trip cost will be retained.
From December 1, 2026: no refunds will be made for payments made.
We recommend purchasing travel insurance with cancellation coverage to travel with more peace of mind.
Do I have enough experience or skill level for this trip?
You don't need to be an elite runner or come to compete, but you should have a reasonable level of fitness and be used to walking or running for several hours on uneven terrain.
The routes are designed to be enjoyed at a relaxed pace, with stops and adjustments for the group. Still, we will be in mountain and desert areas, so it's best to arrive with some base fitness: running, hiking, or training regularly.
If you can move for several hours in the mountains without dramatically dying in the attempt, you're good to go.
Rubén will be doing it, so you can rest easy.
What happens if the program changes?
The itinerary may be adjusted for reasons of safety, weather, local logistics, or any situation that affects the proper conduct of the trip.
The idea is to always maintain the essence of the adventure: trail, mountain, desert, and the Wabiks experience. But on this type of trip, there must be room to adapt. The mountain rules, the desert too, and we prefer to change a plan rather than force something that doesn’t make sense.
Can I use my phone normally?
Yes, you can use your phone, but it is important to check the international roaming conditions with your provider beforehand, as Morocco does not operate like a European Union country.
We recommend keeping roaming activated, checking rates before traveling, and considering an eSIM or international package if you want to have data throughout the trip. Some accommodations will have Wi-Fi, but during routes, transfers, or mountain/desert areas, coverage may be limited.
How to book the trip?
To reserve your spot, you just need to complete the registration form and make the first payment of €500.
Once we receive your reservation, we will confirm your spot and send you the necessary information to prepare for the trip. Spots are limited, so the reservation will not be confirmed until the initial payment has been made.
Where does the journey begin and end?
The journey begins and ends in Marrakech.
We will meet there on the first day to welcome the group, have an initial introduction, and start the adventure. From Marrakech, we will travel through different areas of the country, combining mountains, routes, desert, and organized transfers.
The exact details of the meeting point will be sent to participants before the trip.
Do I need a visa to enter Morocco?
If you travel with a Spanish passport, you do not need a visa for a short tourist stay in Morocco. What you do need is to carry a valid passport and ensure it will be valid for the entire duration of your stay. The national ID card is not sufficient to enter Morocco. If you have another nationality, we recommend checking the specific requirements before booking.
